We are excited to share that our new facility is ready for use! After months of dedicated effort, we have created a welcoming space that will help us improve the care we provide for your pets. We look forward to inviting you and your furry friends into this new environment that is designed with their health and happiness in mind.

Let’s take a closer look at our journey, from the initial plans to the exciting features you can expect now that "MiVet 2.0" is (almost) complete.

Planning and Construction: Laying the Foundation

Our journey began with planning and a clear vision. We wanted to build a larger space, but not just for the sake of size. After gathering insights from our team and valuable feedback from clients like you, we created a floorplan that prioritizes function and improves the quality of medicine we're already practicing and expands our existing services.

Construction was exciting to witness as the project took shape. Though stressful, and involving us being squashed in smaller spaces, we focussed on how much improved things would be at the end! Over the past year, we’ve taken on challenges such as unexpected construction and supply delays, yet our commitment to providing excellent care has never wavered and we're so proud to have seen how much our team has come together to support each other.

Transitioning Spaces: Moving from Small to Spacious

After completion of the majority of construction, it was time to transition from our cozy spaces to expand into out new, spacious facility. The move has required organized planning and coordination... and a lot of careful following of Ikea instructions!

The layout of our new facility is designed to enhance workflow. With designated areas for different services, we can be more efficient in serving your pets’ needs. Studies show that a well-organized space can reduce stress and improve the overall experience for pets and owners - and we're already feeling the benefits.

Expanding Our Urgent Care Service: Introducing the New ICU

A key feature of our expanded center is our new ICU (Intensive Care Unit). This space is specially designed for urgent care, ensuring your pets receive immediate attention when they need it most.

Our team has always been advanced in urgent and critical care, many of our Veterinary Nurses and Doctors having worked in emergency care in the past, but now we have expanded capacity and dedicated space for monitoring and treatment of urgent patients. We have always aimed to see our own patients when they really need us, but now we are aiming to always have a dedicated urgent care team available to enhance this service.

A Warm Welcome: Our New 2-Part Reception Area

We have been excited to share our new reception areas, featuring two separate entrances: one for dogs and another for families with pets like cats, rabbits, and other small animals. This thoughtful design helps cats and other creatures to feel more comfortable, while allowing us all to enjoy dogs in their own space.

Our spacious reception area and additional consultation rooms should help minimize wait times and offer a relaxing atmosphere for your pets. Whether you have a friendly pup, a shy kitty or a parakeet who has never left the house - our aim is that everyone will feel welcome and at ease (well, as much as possible in the world of animals!)

Final Touches: Our Expanded Dental Suite and Storage Updates

At this point, we are focused on the final touches. Our expanded dental suite is in progress and will allow for superior dental care for your pets. Dental health is critical; studies show that over 80% of dogs and 70% of cats have dental disease by age 3. This has always been a passion of ours but we are planning that this new space will help us to be even more efficient and continue to offer dental care to those pets who need it most, as often as they need it, while aiming to keep it as affordable as possible.

Additionally, updates to our laundry and storage areas are underway to enhance efficiency and maintain a clean, safe environment.

A New Chapter Awaits!

We will be thrilled to invite you to an open house as soon as our final set-up is complete. This event will be a fantastic opportunity for you to explore our new facilities and meet the team who cares for your pets - and we are eager to showcase the hard work and passion behind this expansion.
