Dr. Jen
Jen Azofeifa, DVM
Veterinarian, Owner
Dr. Jennifer Azofeifa is a 2006 graduate of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. She has been practicing in the Dexter and Ann Arbor areas for the last 15 years. She has a special interest in medicine, surgery, and wound care and also enjoys seeing exotic pets.
Dr. Jen lives in Waterloo with her husband, son, daughter, Highland cattle (a Scottish cattle breed), peacock, chicken, cockatoo, cat, Goldendoodle and a Scottish Terrier. During free time she enjoys spending time with her family, running, crossfit, and reading.


Dr. Anna
Dr. Anna Calderon BVM&S MRCVS
Veterinarian, Owner
Dr. Anna Calderon graduated from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland in 2012, before starting her career in a small animal and exotic specialist practice in Buckinghamshire, England.
Dr. Anna has been working in Michigan in the Dexter area since 2015. She enjoys seeing dogs, cats, and pocket pets and has particular interests in internal medicine, dentistry and small mammal surgery. She is very keen to discuss your pet’s condition with you and guide you through your available options for diagnosis and treatment.
Dr. Anna shares her home with her wife, Lindsay (also a veterinarian), twin boys Angus & Mikey, a tortoise, three cats and two dogs!


Dr. Chris
Chris Hencken, DVM
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Chris Hencken is a 2012 graduate of Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She practiced emergency medicine for 8 years before coming to us. She enjoys talking with the clients and getting to know them. She has special interests in all reptiles, surgery, and dentistry. She shares her Ann Arbor home with her husband, 2 sons, 4 cats, and whatever her sons bring home with them. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, swimming, and watching movies.


Courtney Lingo,
Licensed Veterinary Technician
Courtney is responsible for anesthesia monitoring, medical nursing, lab and equipment maintenance, and keeping us all on track towards our goals!
Courtney's clinical interests include Dentistry and Internal Medicine, and she is a highly-skilled and empathetic tech.
Courtney's personal interests include Wesley the golden retriever, pictured here!
Bailey Burchett,
Licensed Veterinary Technician
Bailey is a LVT who graduated from Baker in 2018. She is passionate about dentistry, neonatal care and emergency medicine. Bailey joined us in full-time in 2020 and now manages our Inventory, Surgical Anesthesia and performs the vast majority of our preventive dental work.
She lives in Grass Lake with her Dachshund, Betty, her Boston Terrier, Ernest, and a bottle baby cat called Edna.
Bailey enjoys all things traveling and sightseeing in Michigan, as well as long walkies with her dogs. We are so lucky to have her in our team!

Katy
Katy Tengman,
Veterinary Assistant
Katy loves seeing new puppies and kittens and has taken an interest in exotic animal medicine - especially our bunny and guinea pig patients. Katy is always up for learning new things and has extended her skills in assisting our licensed vet techs with anesthesia and surgery.
Katy lives with her fiance at their farm and her passions include her cats, camping and crafting!
Caitlin
Caitlin Bussey,
Veterinary Assistant
Caitlin previously worked at the humane society and has enjoyed seeing many rescue animals come through our doors!
Caitlin really enjoys getting to know the patients and their families as well as assisting with surgeries.
Caitlin lives in Ann Arbor with her three cats Franklin, Piper, and Chihiro. In her spare time she enjoys camping, kayaking, book- binding and reading.


Casey Tabor,
Veterinary Assistant
Casey graduated from MSU in 2017 with a Bachelors in Animal Science.
Casey always enjoys meeting new people with their pets and seeing the human-animal bond in action. "At MiVet, I get to see that every day; it is very rewarding to me and puts a smile on my face daily!". Casey has been with us from our opening, initially as a Client Care Specialist, then an Animal Care Assistant, and now as a Veterinary Assistant.
Casey's personal interests involve anything outdoors: fishing, boating, camping, and hockey (Go Red Wings!). She enjoys spending time with family, friends and of course her fur babies.
Katie Payne,
Veterinary Assistant
Katie moved to Ann Arbor in 2017 from Mississippi where she grew up.
Katie worked for 3 years managing a horse farm before discovering her passion for the veterinary field. She lives with two cats (Isabella and Zora), a dog (Ferris), and a bearded dragon (Kiwi).
Katie enjoys making art, playing video games, and horseback riding in her spare time. She says, "I am most passionate about our black cat patients although love seeing them all!"
