MiVet Animal Clinic
"In-person" or "Curbside"?
Updated: Apr 21, 2022

We have been LOVING seeing some of our clients back in the clinic and getting to meet those of you who we haven't been able to meet properly before. Our mask protocol is working well and we think our patients (like little Andy here) will enjoy getting to introduce their vets to their pet-parents also!
We are trying hard to make sure you know how your appointment will run prior to your visit, but please ask our team before your visit if you have any questions.
Currently, due to space and staffing, we have one Doctor per day seeing in-person appointments in the clinic:
| Select In-person Appointments | Curbside Appointments | Surgery / Dentistry | Urgent Care |
Monday | Dr. Anna | Dr. Jen | | Drop-off by appointment only |
Tuesday | Dr. Jen | Dr. Jen | Dr. Chris | Drop-off by appointment only |
Wednesday | Dr. Chris | Dr. Chris | Dr. Anna | Drop-off by appointment only |
Thursday | Dr. Chris | Dr. Chris | Dr. Jen | Drop-off by appointment only |
Friday | Dr. Anna or Dr. Jen | Dr. Chris | | Drop-off by appointment only |
Due to high caseloads, every day, we keep certain "drop-off" appointments available to fit in sick pets. This generally will mean that your pet will stay with us for 2-6 hours. They will be assessed immediately on arriving at the clinic and be seen by the Doctor based on a triage system around our scheduled appointments.
But what do I do when I arrive for my appointment?
Our lobby currently remains closed.
Please park and give us a call when you arrive (734-388-0102). A technician will take a brief history over the phone and go over all your questions & concerns for the doctor.
For curbside appointments, we will meet you at the front door, bring your pet into the clinic and ask you to wait in your car.
For an in-person appointment, we'll take you to your exam room!
Our experienced assistants and Licensed Veterinary Technicians will take your pet's weight and vitals, take any blood needed and perform any ancillary procedures (e.g. nail trim, anal gland expression).
Our Doctors will perform their physical exam and then discuss their exam findings and plan with you.
Whether in-person, over the phone in our parking lot or from your home, a full estimate can be talked through or emailed at any time -- and always before performing more advanced procedures or diagnostic testing.
After your visit, you'll receive a printed or emailed discharge that explains everything we talked about at your visit including any medications dispensed.
As always, please let us know if your pet has specific preferences or if there is anything in particular that you think will help make your visit run more smoothly.
